Chris Rubin
The daughter of a fashion magazine editor and an architect, Chris was born with enough creative genes to inspire an active imagination. She wanted to be an artist from as far back as she can remember and
took every art class available all through school.
She moved to Bend in 1978, portfolio under arm, and after some
interviews, waitressing and some waiting, landed a graphic design
position at the local TV station. From that point on, she never
looked back and has been designing and directing her way through a
handful of creative positions to her current one as Creative Director
for Every Idea. Chris says with pride that she’s worked with
Wendie for almost 20 years (a record in this line of work, as far as we
know). She recognizes the relationship they’ve cemented, the company
she’s helped to flourish and the opportunity to do what she loves every
day.
Working in the Central Oregon region for over 20 years, Chris has
concepted and created some of the regions most recognized identities
such as Central Oregon Community College, Newport Avenue Market,
SunWest Builders, Northwest Crossing logo, Classic Coverings & Deschutes
Resources Conservancy. An expert at communication and compromise,
Chris brings her years of experience to the table with clients and
designers alike, to listen carefully and to initiate and stimulate
creative solutions to every project. She has a keen eye for
detail, a strong sense of color and a desire to inspire that makes her
one of the best.
She works more hours than most, but can also be found chillin’ with her
19 year old son, spending regular evenings with friends with comfy
couches, greeting guests at Westside Church on Sunday mornings, taking trips to the coast or enjoying a superb glass of Cabernet.
