Eastlake
Framing is a custom framing store. When introduced
to Every Idea, the company needed to capture the attention of potential
customers in a highly competitive framing and arts business.
Debra
Spicer, the owner, had a knack for marketing and a great eye for
design. Her business skills, teamed with
our design and creativity, made for a unique opportunity that enabled a local Bend retailer to launch
an award winning campaign that increased sales and gained national recognition.
First, we
reinvented Eastlake’s
corporate image and identity to a more modern, sophisticated look that
reflected the company’s elegant custom made frames. We then differentiated Eastlake in the market by positioning the
store and its products as finely crafted pieces of art, not just frames. To build on this image, we created a unique ad
campaign that focused on capturing life moments and celebrations. The campaign
included beautiful images of special moments in life or unique art with a piece
of it cut out and “framed”. The copy
intelligently noted, “it's all how you frame it.”

The print campaign
then blossomed into radio advertising.
The hard work paid off as sales increased. In
addition, Eastlake Framing obtained top honors in a national industry marketing
competition that pitted Eastlake’s
campaign against like retailers nationwide.
Every Idea was awarded for it’s creativity by industry colleagues nationally
as well, getting a 2005 Addy Award.
Also, the Central Oregon Ad Federation honored the campaign with a Drake award.
The
advertising helped build awareness for Eastlake Framing and boosted business. Now, our focus is to drive more sales through
repeat business and to develop different ways to reach new customers.

Each piece of collateral material reflects the quality products, expert service and elegant brand that is Eastlake Framing. Store event invitations and targeted postcards are used to reach potential customers and increase traffic while underscoring Eastlake's timeless feel.

The print campaign appeals to the senses with texture, form and color. Each ad highlights specific products exclusively offered by Eastlake Framing in the local area.
